ARTIST INTERVIEWS

Artist Spotlight: Cheyenne and Nigel Rudolph

2/8/2016

On January 16, Savannah Clay Community had the opportunity to attend the “Special Occasions Ceramics” workshop at Savannah’s Clay Spot with Cheyenne and Nigel Rudolph. It was very exciting to see two artists demonstrating at the same time, and we couldn't pass up the chance to interview two nationally known artists while they were briefly here in Savannah. Cheyenne was hand building her "Lemon Aider" (a lemon juicer pitcher) and cups, while Nigel was throwing a barrel, pitcher and cups. The artists also gave a very interesting slide talk. We learned all kinds of tips and tricks from them, but as always the best part of the workshop was learning about the ideas and motivations behind their work.
