Savannah Clay: 2015
The work of Savannah artists Lisa Bradley, Jessica Broad, Mitzi Davis, John Jensen, Mac McCusker, Judy Mooney, Yves Paquette, and Rebecca Sipper were on display at the S.P.A.C.E. gallery in Savannah GA from September 4 to September 25, 2015. Jessica Broad curated the exhibition with the intention of showcasing ceramic art made in Savannah Georgia. The exhibition included functional and sculptural works representing a broad range of working and firing techniques. Savannah is a city that is increasingly becoming known as an arts hub, but not for ceramics. The intention of this exhibition was to show that there are nationally recognized ceramic artists working in this city and to make their work known to the community. The artists included have won such honors as an NEA grant, Ceramics Monthly emerging artist, NCECA emerging artist, and grants from various state arts councils.
